When at last he ordered the royal sorceror, Lethan Arval, brought before him, the guards found the old man already waiting in the hall, cloak unruffled, eyes calm. |

Scholars say the library is alive, reacting to anyone who enters. The adventurers are hired to retrieve a lost codex, but the library seems intent on studying them instead.

A reclusive sorceror offers great wealth for rare minerals needed for an experiment to "mend" a broken leyline. As the work progresses, the world around his tower begins to warp, colors fade, time slips, and the air hums like glass. The other sorcerors insist the adventurers find out who, or what, has taken the chair.
