Lumekhet

The idea of Lumekhet was born on a trip to Egypt, visiting Luxor, the Hatshepsut temple and the Valley of Kings.

I didn't just want to copy the gods of ancient Egypt, so instead I went with a sun god and a moon godess, and attached these roles to the pharaoh and queen.

I also like the concept of having a "life side" and a "death side" of the Nile, but wanted them more extreme. So, I needed some land between them, and went with two rivers. From there, the life and death cycle which defines Lumekhet was a simple conclusion.

The concept of hollows was heavily inspired by the "nomads" from the film Nomads. A really good film, which tends to slip under most people's radar.
