Carpenter Galenor
This was a really hard one, because on one hand, I really loved Waverider's Otto the Dwarf as a character, and if I hadn't already placed him there, he would have been on the Blue Marlin instead. As Otto the Dwarf is such a colorful character, a copy simply wouldn't do.
So, in the end, I went with the "inventor who tries new things, and sometimes succeed" trope. It was after I decided this that the Blue Marlin became a triple hull design, a normal fit would simply not be a Galenor design, and I also wanted the ship to be a character in itself.
So, a bit mad inventor, a bit scatterbrained scientist. He later mixed well with the curious Nera and the more grounded Gastved.
