Summoners

Summoners were intended to be included from the very start, but what put the gears of my mind in motion was a Tale Foundry youtube video about magic as contracts. It fits so well into summoning.

A summoning is a contract negotiation, where both sides try to get the best terms, because both will be bound by the contract. The fine print matters, and twisting the wording is standard procedure. Demons are evil beings, and if given any chance, they will do evil.

Of course, letting demons operate in our world, even if bound by contract, is not popular, and they must operate in secrecy, as they will be killed if exposed.

I must also point out a detail I loved on the flavor story, added by the AI: The nose flick. It sends the message that "You think you have power. You are wrong. I could kill you at any time." Actually, the AI just touched the forehead, but I changed it to a nose flick, to really drive the message home. It also touches on the possible secret later in the text, that the protective circles does not work, and the demons just goes along with the charade to lure the summoner into a false sense of security.
