Freshwater Merfolk
It started as an experiment of doing AI images of mermaids based on freshwater fish. They came out good, and I went with it. Since freshwater is smaller and murkier, I made their culture more fitting that environment. Less flashy more sneaky.
I didn't want them in every pond, river and lake, so I placed them in one place, the Mire of Wines, a tropical marsh maze.
