Dragons
Not much need to explain where inspiration for dragons as such came, they are ubiquitous. So, instead, I'll talk about why I made them different.
Dragons comes in two shapes:
- Ascended dragons. These are gods, and will be discussed elsewhere.
- Non-ascended dragons. These have chosen to remain, it's not due to lack of ability.
So, why did they chose to stay? Well, they decided to make it their mission to protect Kaelthir. They don't take any part in the world beyond that. In fact, breaking the secrecy would be counterproductive, so they stay there.
One thing is clear, though. There are no dragonslayers. If you fight a dragon, you die.
