Tekrissal

The inspiration here comes from two sources:

• The ancient desert city of Petra, Jordan, cut directly out of the solid rock.
• An idea of a queen escaping from Tikirri, dying, and her brood reverting to an animal level over the millennia.

These two ideas came together beautifully. The dramatic facades, the promise of treasure, but haunted by insectoid monsters.

If you are the least interested in history, or just dramatic scenery, I strongly recommend visiting Petra. It's worth it.
