N'gazama
This one is a great concept which I wish I could take credit for, but the real story is that I hade a bit of jungle on the map and no idea what to do.
So, I asked the AI to come up with a bunch of concepts, but, to be honest, they were all stereotypical and boring. I told it explicitly to avoid anything done before, and it came up with a list of more creative ideas, but most of them weren't that good. However, one stuck out, with a people continually hallucinating due to volcanic vents.
I loved that one, and reworked it, adding the masks, adding the religion, adding the concept of them believing the hallucinated world being the real world, the masks showing the real persons.
I'm very happy with how it turned out, and it fit perfectly on that spot on the map.
