Author's Notes
Khazryn
I've had the idea of elusive righters of wrongs for a long time, not really knowing how to make it useable. When drawing the map, I had this large mountain range, and suddenly, it hit me that it sounds like something a hidden order of Shao Lin monks might do.
I was, however, faced with the problem of how the monks stay one step ahead, how they know what to do. They needed some kind of "handler" who had that information. That's where the idea of the oracle nuns came about. Of course, they needed a way to communicate, and it was here the concept of their mental bond was born.
From all this, I had a really beautiful concept.
From there, the AI really put the finishing touch by creating the ceremony where the monk and the nun are bonded forever. The ceremony is pure beauty, simple, still, yet carrying enormous weight. Khazryn really wouldn't have been the same without that ceremony.
The role of the monks are, of course, to give the game master a "deus ex machina" to get the players out of an impossible situation. The monks are not meant as player characters, as they don't work in groups, and they would be overpowered.
